Safety is Our Priority
Important Information
Before working on any project, every member of our team undergoes rigorous safety training, with extra training for operators. Before joining our team, the vast majority of our employees have already had previous safety training as part of their extensive experience in the past.
We always supplement this with initial training, as a way to ensure all of our employees are up-to-date and safe, regardless of past experience. In addition to the initial training, we also provide regular safety training in the form of workshops and refreshers. This ensures that the various safety methods are fresh in everyone’s minds. This also allows us to update our team on new safety advances or changes to safety policies or techniques.
In addition to the careful training of our team members, the Escobedo Group crane division works hard to maintain our equipment, as this is crucial for the safety of everyone involved. Well-maintained equipment will function as it should, something which is crucial for any heavy machinery. It becomes even more important for our larger cranes, especially when they are carrying loads of several hundred tons, as the risks from an accident increase.
This is not a concern with our cranes, as we follow and exceed the recommended maintenance schedules for all equipment, frequently providing maintenance and inspections more often than suggested. We also ensure our crane operators go through a checklist before using any equipment, further reducing the risk of an issue.
We constantly review our safety policies and have experts do the same. We use quantifiable methods and measurements for our safety reviews, helping to ensure there is no bias involved. Our inclusion of expert safety reviews further ensures this lack of bias. At the same time, the second set of reviews is a safety net to prevent anything we may have missed from slipping through the cracks.
This provides us with the opportunity to spot any gaps as industry safety standards advance, or new safety technologies are developed for the crane industry. These reviews also help us work toward our goal of continuous improvement for safety.
Our dedication to safety has led to an incredibly low incident rate. Part of this comes from having team members who dedicate all or the majority of their time to safety, allowing for constant updates to our policies and processes when necessary, whether due to industry advances or changing OSHA requirements.
At Escobedo Group, we take safety seriously, not only in our crane division but in our other divisions as well. That is because safety affects all of us. It keeps our crane operators safe, as well as any other consultants or artisans we have on your project site. It protects your team and keeps them safe, whether they are directly involved with the crane or simply close and on-site.
Our dedication to safety is also crucial for your customers. That means that when we unload our cranes, we do so in a way that will minimize the risk of future problems. This way, your customers do not have to worry about uneven surfaces or other issues that could injure them, and you do not have to worry about liability for those issues.
